Kitesurfing the Atlantic 

While the world media was focussed on the Volvo Open 70 Transatlantic Race and Dee Cafari's successful round the world voyage, Manu Bertin quietly slipped into Pointe a Pitre in Guadaloupe having kitesurfed across the Atlantic from Gomera in the Canaries.

The remarkable 43 years old Frenchman, who is known as the father of kitesurfing, kitesurfed the 2,700 miles in 3 weeks (April 26 to May 17, 2006) and adds another major achievement to his belt.
