Making life a holiday with interesting vacation and adventure ideas.

Tales from here and there about this and that.

Tuesday, April 20, 2004

I was browsing through a number of dance holidays that are about to be entered into the database when I came across Travel for the Arts; an established tour operator from the UK, specializing in small escorted groups to the legendary opera houses and concert halls around the world, they are now offering a selection of holidays for dance lovers.

One recent trip that caught my eye was a day trip they organized to a performance of Giselle performed by the Ballet de l 'Opéra at the enchanting Palais Garnier in Paris. Unfortunately the trip was back in February but it reminded me how accessible Paris is to people who are able to catch the Eurostar from London (or Ashford, Kent) and use the channel tunnel. I know someone who left work on England's south coast one Friday afternoon and within a few hours was partying in Paris.

If you are in Paris you might take the opportunity to visit the 'Picasso Ingres' exhibition being held at Musée Picasso until June 17, 2004. You can read a very nice review posted in deviantART news.
